Responsible gambling and where to get help
Gambling is entertainment you pay for, never a way to make money. Every game we cover has a house edge, so the longer you play, the more you are expected to lose.

Warning signs
- Spending more money or time than you planned, or chasing losses.
- Borrowing, selling crypto you meant to keep, or hiding what you spend.
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you are not playing.
- Gambling to escape problems, or because you feel you have to.
If any of these sound familiar, stop and talk to one of the services above. You do not need to be in crisis to use them.
Set limits before you start
- Decide a loss limit you can afford to lose completely, and a time limit.
- Use the deposit, loss and session limits in your casino account settings.
- Never deposit from credit, a loan, or funds meant for bills.
- See what a session is expected to cost with our crash simulator and house edge explainer.
Blocking and self-exclusion
- GamBan — Blocks gambling sites and apps, including crypto casinos, across your devices.
- BetBlocker — Free, open-source blocking software.
- GAMSTOP (UK) — Self-exclusion from every UK-licensed site. Offshore crypto casinos are not part of it — use a blocker as well.
Every operator we review offers account self-exclusion through its support team. Ask for a permanent closure in writing and keep the reply.
Age and the law
Gambling is for adults only: 18+, or older where local law sets a higher age. Online casino gambling is illegal or restricted in many countries and most US states, and offshore crypto casinos are not licensed where you live. Check the law in your jurisdiction before opening any account. Read our terms of use.
