Provably fair
A cryptographic method that lets you independently verify that a game outcome was not manipulated. The operator commits to a result before the bet is placed by publishing a hash; afterwards you can check the revealed values against that commitment. It proves the result was not changed after you bet — it does not remove the house edge.

Provably fair: a practical example
Save the server-seed hash before a round. After the seed is revealed, check its hash and reproduce the result using the documented algorithm, client seed, and nonce. Both checks are needed: a matching hash alone does not verify the displayed outcome.
Common misunderstanding
A verifiable result does not prove the operator will pay a withdrawal, protect your account, or offer a game without a house edge.
