KYC (know your customer)
Identity verification an operator performs, often required by its licence. Some crypto operators ask for nothing until a withdrawal is flagged; others require documents up front. Either way, assume you may eventually be asked.

KYC (know your customer): a practical example
A withdrawal may enter an identity-review queue before a blockchain transaction exists. In that case, checking a block explorer cannot explain the delay; the operator must clarify the account review.
Common misunderstanding
A wallet connection or quick signup does not establish that future identity checks are waived. Review the operator's current verification terms.
Examples use hypothetical inputs. Operator terms must be checked separately.
Understanding the term does not change the odds. 18+ only. Nothing here is betting advice.
